Patrick Mahomes’ Six-Touchdown Explosion

On September 16, 2018, Patrick Mahomes put on a clinic by throwing six touchdown passes in a 42-37 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mahomes’ electric performance showcased his cannon arm and ability to make plays on the run.

Mahomes connected with five different receivers for touchdowns, spreading the ball around and keeping the Steelers’ defense guessing. His deep touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill in the third quarter was a prime example of his ability to make explosive plays.

‘It’s fun to be a part of this offense,’ Mahomes said. ‘We have so many weapons, and it’s about finding the right matchups.’

The Steelers’ defense had no answer for Mahomes, who completed 23 of 28 passes for 326 yards. His performance was a statement to the league that he was ready to take the Chiefs to new heights.

Mahomes’ six-touchdown game tied a franchise record and set the stage for his MVP-winning season. His ability to deliver under pressure and make big plays became his trademark.

This game remains one of Mahomes’ defining performances and a clear indication of his potential as a future Hall of Famer.
