Volleyball’s USA Women Win Olympic Gold

The Tokyo Olympics ended with volleyball gold today. USA women swept Brazil 25-21, 25-20, 25-14—first Olympic title ever. Karch Kiraly’s squad dominated; Jordan Larson’s 12 kills led. Ariake Arena, fanless, still felt electric. American volleyball’s queens crowned.

Brazil pushed early—Gabi’s spikes tested. USA’s block—Haleigh Washington, Chiaka Ogbogu—shut it down. Annie Drews hammered 19 points; serve pressure broke Brazil. Third set was a rout—14-4 run. Kiraly’s game plan clicked; history made.

It’s not spotless—early errors gave Brazil hope. Tokyo’s heat sapped both sides—USA adapted. Critics say Brazil’s off—Tokyo’s theirs. Still, gold’s gold—first since ‘84 men. Team USA’s 7-0 run sealed it.

Larson’s 34, retiring—storybook end. Next gen’s Drews, 27—future’s bright. Brazil reloads for Paris 2024. USA volleyball shines—gold at last.
